Deliberation, as a key principle in collective decision-making in Islam, is not only mentioned in verses such as QS. Ash-Shura [42]: 38, but also exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad SAW in various strategic events. However, its meaning and implementation experience dynamics in accordance with the socio-cultural context of Muslim society. This study uses an evidential method and a qualitative-descriptive approach by analyzing classical and contemporary interpretations, as well as case studies of the implementation of deliberation in Islamic institutions and local communities in Indonesia. The results show that deliberation in Indonesia has expanded into an instrument of democratization and public participation, without abandoning the basic values of shura. This reconceptualization shows the integration between Islamic normative values and inclusive local socio-political practices. These findings confirm the importance of deliberation as a means of dialogue, consensus, and strengthening social cohesion in the life of the nation and religion.
Misbahuddin Asaad, Basri Basri, Ahmad Ishak Copyright (c) 2025 Misbahuddin Asaad, Basri Basri, Ahmad Ishak https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://mushafjournal.com/index.php/mj/article/view/413 Tue, 05 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0000 PENDIDIK PROTOTIPE DALAM AL-QUR’AN DAN HADITS: PARA NABI DAN RASUL SEBAGAI FIGUR ACUAN PENDIDIK https://mushafjournal.com/index.php/mj/article/view/4
This article aims to analyze the criteria for educators as outlined in the Qur'an and Hadith, using the Prophets and Messengers as reference points. These include: first, making faith and moral character the primary keys in education, which bring peace in life both in this world and the hereafter; second, showing equal compassion toward students by consistently offering advice that leads to changes in behavior and mindset; third, always upholding justice during the learning process (knowledge transfer), including when students make mistakes or successfully master and achieve learning objectives, by providing educational rewards and sanctions; fourth, being able to serve as a central figure for students in the process of acquiring knowledge; fifth, being able to maintain emotional and physical stability, especially in managing anger; and sixth, prioritizing consultation and consensus in decision-making rather than imposing one's will on the students.
Sayid Ahmad Ramadhan , Taufik Warman Mahfuz Copyright (c) 2021 MUSHAF JOURNAL: Jurnal Ilmu Al Quran dan Hadis https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://mushafjournal.com/index.php/mj/article/view/4 Tue, 05 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0000 MATAHARI DALAM AL-QUR`AN DAN ASTRONOMI: INTEGRASI ILMU TAFSIR DAN SAINS https://mushafjournal.com/index.php/mj/article/view/400
This study explores the integration of the Qur'anic interpretation (tafsir) and modern astronomy in understanding the sun’s role as described in the Qur’an. The sun, classified as a star, sustains life on Earth through nuclear fusion, influences climate, and governs celestial mechanics. The Qur’an uses distinct terms such as siraj (lamp), dhiya’ (blinding light), and nur (reflected light) to highlight the sun’s unique characteristics compared to other celestial bodies. These descriptions align with scientific findings, including the sun’s self-generated energy, gravitational role in the solar system, and its function in determining religious practices like prayer and fasting. Previous studies confirm the Qur’an’s alignment with astronomical discoveries, emphasizing the need for interdisciplinary integration to deepen both spiritual and scientific comprehension. This research employs qualitative-descriptive methods through library research, analyzing tafsir literature and scientific data to demonstrate the harmony between divine revelation and empirical science. The findings underscore the sun’s cosmological and theological significance, reinforcing the Qur’an’s timeless relevance in explaining natural phenomena.
Ahmad Mujahid, Arizal Hangga Tri Setya, Rihan Faza Sahana, Rehan Ariansyah Putra Copyright (c) 2025 Ahmad Mujahid, Arizal Hangga Tri Setya, Rihan Faza Sahana, Rehan Ariansyah Putra https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://mushafjournal.com/index.php/mj/article/view/400 Tue, 05 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0000 RESEPSI EKSEGESIS DAN RESEPSI FUNGSIONAL PADA HADIS ‘’JIBRIĪL’’ DALAM CHANNEL YOUTUBE ADI HIDAYAT OFFICIAL https://mushafjournal.com/index.php/mj/article/view/438
Social media is one of the alternatives for delivering information quickly, and it offers various platforms, including YouTube. This study examines how the Qur'an places humans as caliphs (leaders) on earth and has the responsibility to protect and care for the environment. Using the literature study method and the thematic interpretation approach (maudhu'i), the results of the study show that the Qur'an provides a strong normative basis for building good ethics. Unlike the concept of caliph, the value of amanah describes the moral obligation to protect God's creation. The method used is qualitative with a semantic analysis and exegesis approach on Qur’anic verses containing both terms, supported by exegeses such as Al Misbah, Al Sya'rawi, and others. The results of the study show that Qalb and Fu’ad are not absolute synonyms. Qalb refers to the center of spiritual dynamics that is subject to change (taqallub), functioning as the receptacle for revelation, emotions, and intentions. Meanwhile, Fu’ad denotes a stable inner aspect, serving as the repository of belief (akidah) after undergoing a rational process. The theological implications include: (1) Qalb as a battleground for spiritual struggles that requires the maintenance of purity, (2) Fu’ad as the foundation of steadfast faith, and (3) the interconnection of both forming a holistic relationship between humans and God. In conclusion, this semantic understanding enriches the concept of Islamic spiritual psychology, particularly in tazkiyat al-nafs (purification of the soul) and human accountability before God.
M. The main objective of this study is to examine environmental preservation from the perspective of the Qur'an using a thematic interpretation approach (tafsir maudhu'i). Through the exploration of verses related to nature, this study identifies a number of key concepts such as amanah (trust), khalifah (human leadership), mizan (balance), and the prohibition of facade (damage). The Qur'an firmly positions humans as guardians of the earth who carry ethical and religious responsibilities for preserving nature. The findings of this study reveal that caring for nature is not merely an ethical obligation, but also part of worship and a form of devotion to God. The resulting Qur'anic ecological ethics can be used as a normative basis for the development of environmental education, da'wah activities, and the formulation of public policies based on Islamic values. Epistemology presents perspectives on the human process of acquiring and forming knowledge, whether through empirical experience, logical thinking, or inner reflection.
